يضم هذا الكتاب العمل الرئيس لهانز جورج غادامير عن پاول تسيلان. نشر غادامير كتاب من أنا ومن أنتفي العام 1973، وأعادت دار سوركامپ Suhrkamp نشره في العام 1986 رفقة مقدمة جديدة وملحق. والترجمة الإنكليزية لهذا الكتاب تعتمد أساسا على نسخة العام 1986 والنسخة التي ظهرت في أعمال غادامير الكاملة، لأن هذه النسخة اللاحقة احتوت على ملاحظات أضافها غادامير لاحقا. ويضم هذا الكتاب مقالين آخرين، وهما : \"المعنى واختفاء المعنى في شعر پاول تسيلان\"، التي نشرها غادامير في العام 1975، وجمعت في كتاب متألف من مقالات ظهر في العام 1977. والمقالة الثانية في هذا الكتاب وهي \"مقترب ظاهراتي ودلالي إلى شعر تسيلان\" ظهرت أول الأمر في مجموعة مقالات نشرت في العام 1991، ومنذ ذلك الحين جمعت في المجلد التاسع من أعماله الكاملة.
