يقدم هذا الكتاب سيرة تاريخية وثائقية لشخصية مهمة في التاريخ السعودي الحديث وهو الأمير عبد الله بن عبدالرحمن الفيصل آل سعود الذي كان له دور متشعب في عدة مجالات فمن الناحية العسكرية شارك أخاه الملك عبد العزيز طيلة عشرين سنة في معارك توحيد المملكة وقاد بعض الحملات ومن أبرز أعماله في هذا المجال قيادته الجيش السعودي في حصار جدة ومن الناحية السياسية هو من أكثر الشخصيات التصاقا بالملك عبد العزيز إذ كان يستشيره كثيرا ويطلعه على أسرار الدولة ويصطحبه معه في أغلب الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات السياسية ويكلفه بمهام كثيرة.
