كتاب \"Notice Historique sur la Tribu des Oulad Abdenour\" (مذكرة تاريخية حول قبيلة أولاد عبد النور) من تأليف شارل فيرو، يعد من أوائل المحاولات الاستعمارية لتوثيق البنية الاجتماعية والسياسية لقبائل الجزائر، وقد نشر سنة 1864 بمدينة قسنطينة. يقدم الكتاب وصفا دقيقا لقبيلة أولاد عبد النور، من حيث نسبها، تنظيمها الداخلي، زعاماتها، وعلاقاتها بالسلطة العثمانية ثم بالاحتلال الفرنسي. كما يتناول الجغرافيا القبلية، والعادات والتقاليد، والنزاعات الداخلية والخارجية التي خاضتها القبيلة. ويظهر فيرو اهتماما خاصا بكيفية تفاعل هذه القبيلة مع التغيرات السياسية والعسكرية التي شهدتها الجزائر في القرن التاسع عشر، مما يجعل الكتاب مصدرا مهما لفهم ديناميكيات المقاومة والولاء في المجتمعات القبلية الجزائرية خلال تلك الفترة.
