يتناول الكتاب جزئين الأول عرض سريع لسقوط المدن الأندلسية وأسباب ذلك ويتناول الجزء الثاني استنجاد أهل الأندلس بالعالم الإسلامي والإستجابة لتلك الصرخات وكان قبل ذلك حديث عن تاريخ المسلمين في الأندلس مما يعين على فهم الأحداث الواردة في ثنايا البحث والغرض من كل ذلك هو استقاء العبر والدروس من أحداث التاريخ وعدم الأكتفاء بتتابع الكوارث وتسلسل المصاعب فالأمة الإسلامية بحاجة ماسة إلى استنهاض أهل الغيرة والهمة والقيام بعمل جاد مثمر.
