يتناول الكتاب مرض السحر حيث يتحدث المؤلف ويقول أردت أن أدرس موضوع السحر وما يتعلق به وله به صلة ودراسة موضوعية لنقف على ماهيته وأنواعه الحقيقية وكيفية الحد من انتشاره وعلاجه إن وقع بطريقة شرعية وما دفعني لذلك أمور الأول لما نظرت إلى الواقع الحالي لموقعتف بعض المعاصرين من قضية السحر ووجدتهم لا يجتمعون على كلمة سواء فقد ذهبوا مذاهب شتى فمنهم من استأثر برأيه وتعصب له ودعا إليه ومنهم من أنكر السحر مطلقا ثم من نسب إلى السحر ما لا يقدر عليه إلا الله ومنهم من وقف متشككا حيرانا لا يستقر له قرار والثاني أحجام بعض أهل العلم الثقات عن البحث في هذا الموضوع رغم أهميته.
