يزداد الاهتمام بتربية الطفل وتعليمه منذ سنين حياته الأولى في المنزل ثم في رياض الأطفال ومن ثم في المدرسة لا ننكر أن التلفاز يؤدي دورا كبيرا في التأثير في ثقافة الطفل حيث يقضي الأطفال وقتهم أمام شاشة التلفاز لكن ذلك لم يلغ دور الكتاب، فلم يزل للكتاب خصوصية يتفرد بها عن غيره من أوعية الثقافة الأمر إلى يجعل دوره كبيرا ولما كنا في عصر التقدم التكنولوجي الهائل كان لا بد من تطور مكتبات الأطفال بما يماشي هذا التقدم الذي يشهده عالمنا الحالي.
