مسرحية تراجيدية للكاتب الإنجليزي ويليام شكسبير. تتألف المسرحية من خمسة فصول، تدور أحداثها فيما بين البندقية وقبرص. يعتقد أنها كتبت في سنة 1603 وهي مستوحاة من قصة إيطالية بعنوان \"النقيب المغربي\" كتبها سينثو تلميذ جيوفاني بوكاتشو. تدور كل المسرحية حول أربعة شخصيات رئيسة : عطيل، الجنرال المغربي في الجيش البندقي، وزوجته ديدمونة، والملازم كاسيو مساعد عطيل وحامل الراية ياجو المنافق. تتنوع مواضيع المسرحية بين العنصرية، والحب، والغيرة، والخيانة.
