تقدم الأجهزة العليا للرقابة المالية والمحاسبة مساهمات كبيرة لمجتمعاتها من خلال إلزام الحكومات بالمساءلة والنزاهة والشفافية. وتكتسب هذه الإسهامات أهمية أكبر عندما تكون هذه الأجهزة قادرة على التواصل والتعريف بقيمة دورها في الحكومة ونتائج أعمالها لدى المواطنين وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين. ومن هذا المنطلق، أدركت المنظمة الدولية للأجهزة العليا للرقابة المالية والمحاسبة (الإنتوساي) أهمية تشجيع الأجهزة العليا للرقابة المالية والمحاسبة على استخدام كل الوسائل المتاحة والمستجدة للتعريف بقيمة وفوائد الاجهزة العليا للرقابة المالية والمحاسبة على نطاق أوسع. ومن خلال نشر مساهماتها ونتائج عملها، يمكن للأجهزة الرقابية أن تكتسب فهم الآخرين لدورها وتتلقى منهم الدعم، وأن تكون بمثابة محفز للارتقاء بالدور الحكومي.
