يتضمن هذا الكتاب ستة فصول، خصص الفصل الأول لتوضيح بعض المفاهيم الاقتصادية كعلم الاقتصاد والمشكلة الاقتصادية أما الفصل الثاني فقد خصص لمعالجة نظرية الأثمان وما يتعلق بها من نظرية الطلب والعرض والمرونات وصولا إلى تحديد السعر في السوق الحرة وقد خصص الفصل الثالث لمعالجة موضوع تحليل سلوك المستهلك سواء باستخدام أسلوب المنفعة أو بأسلوب منحنيات السواء وصولا إلى تحديد نقطة توازن أما الفصل الرابع فقد خصص لمعالجة نظرية الإنتاج وما يتعلق بها من دوال الإنتاج وقانون الغلة المتناقصة ومراحل الإنتاج وصولا إلى تحديد المرحلة المثلى أما الفصل الخامس فقد خصص لمعالجة موضوع نظرية المنشاة والتي تتعلق بتحليل كل من الإيرادات والتكاليف سواء في المدى القصير أو في المدى الطويل.
