يتناول الكتاب نشأة الماسونية وما رافق تاريخها من حوادث في سائر أنحاء العالم على اختلاف الزمان والمكان بالاستناد إلى إفادات أعضاء منتمين إليها في الدولة العربية إلى جانب الاعتماد على أشهر ما كتب الغربيين من إنجليز وفرنسيين في أوروبا عن الماسونية وأثارت «الماسونية» نقاشا عنيفا ومحاولات متعددة لتوضيح تاريخها وأهدافها فقد انبرى المؤيدون والمعارضون يبحثون في تاريخها عما يدعمون به تفسيرهم لها حتى صرنا أمام عدة تواريخ لمنظمة واحدة فتعددت منابعها بين اليهودية والمسيحية وآخرون يرونها ملحدة.
