لا شك أن دراسة قواعد النحو العربي وسيلة لا غاية تقصد لذاتها، فهي وسيلة لضبط اللغة، وفهم القرآن الكريم والحديث الشريف وتراثنا العربي، والوقوف على أسرار بلاغة لغة الضاد، ومن ثم كان هدفي في تأليف هذا الكتاب أن يفي بالهدف المطلوب، بسهولة العبارة، ودقة العرض، والابتعاد عن الخلافات النحوية واللغوية والأسلوبية التي لا تفيد، وكانت معظم الأمثلة من القرآن الكريم والشعر والنثر، كما راعيت وجود تدريبات لغوية، بحيث تكون زادا للدارس يمرن فهمه عليها، كما تناول الكتاب دروسا في الإملاء، والأخطاء الشائعة، والأمثال العربية، وتحليل نص نثري وآخر شعري.
