يتحدث الكاتب المؤرخ الكبير ضياء الدين القاضي في الجزء الأول عن بورسعيد من قبل المنشئ ويوضح الكاتب أن بورسعيد هي مجموعه من المدن الصغيرة وأنا مدينة حديثه بالفعل لم يكن لها وجود من قبل بدء حفر قناة السويس في ليست الفرما وليست تنيس وليست أيضا بيلوز، فكل مدينة من هذه المدن لها مكانها المعروف حاليا. يحكى أيضا المشاريع والقنوات التي سبقت قناة السويس منذ الفراعنة ويحكى عن احتفالات افتتاح القناة وعن تقسيم شوارع بورسعيد ومسمايتهاومسمياتهاومساميتها القديمة نسبه إلى من ويسير بنا بخفه ورشاقة لغوية إلى نبذة مبسطة للتاريخ الحديث لبورسعيد.
