تضمن الكتاب ثلاثة عشر وحدة هي القياس والمتجهات والحركة المجردة وديناميكا الجسيم والشغل والقدرة والطاقة وديناميكا الأجسام المتماسكة وكمية التحرك والحركة التوافقية البسيطة وميكانيكا السوائل والمرونة والحرارة والديناميكا الحرارية والضوء، فلا شك أن الفيزياء هي بحق أم العلوم في عصرنا الحاضر، فقد كانت أول العلوم التي بحث الإنسان في نظرياتها وقوانينها، وعنها تفرعت علوم أخرى كثيرة وما زال هذا التفرع مستمر، وعلم الفيزياء يبحث في المادة والطاقة وتفاعلاتها معا، وهي البحث أساسه التجربة القائمة على القياس وقد عملنا جاهدين أن نعالج هذا الوحدة بعناية وبالاستعانة بخبرات الطلبة السابقيين وأعين بتدرج في عرض ومراعين التسلسل المنطقي كما راعينا مستوى المعالجة أن يناسب الطلاب بحيث يكون العرض مقتضيا وفي نفس الوقت يوجد تفصيلات تساعدهم على الفهم وأسئلة وتطبيقات عليها.
