يتحدث الكتاب عن أن شهادة الشهود وسيلة من وسائل الإثبات القانونية والمقصود منها أن يثبت المرء حقه أو يثبت أدعاءه في مجلس القضاء بأشخاص يسميهم للقاضي للإدلاء بالشهادة في النزاع المنظور أمام المحكمة. ودائما يلجأ الناس لإشهاد بعضهم البعض في معاملاتهم وذلك لحفظ الحقوق ولكن هنالك من يخطئ في أختيار الشاهد أو الشهود مما يتسبب له في المستقبل إذا حدث خلاف في ضياع حقه والسبب يعود لجهل الكثير من الناس في معرفة شروط الشهادة ومدى أنطباقها على الشاهد أو شهود الذين أشهدهم على حقه عند الآخرين. حينما ينكر خصمك حقك فإنه بتلقائية سوف يبحث عن مخرج قانوني لإبطال دعواك وحينما تقدم أنت شهودك سوف ينظر الخصم إلى مدى انطباق صحة شروط الشهادة على شاهدك أو شهودك وإذا وجد خصمك أن شاهدك لا تنطبق عليه الشروط دفع وطعن بشهادة الشهود.
