هذه مذكرات ضخمة وزخمة لحياة فرح بهلوي ولدولة إيران في الوقت ذاته، تسرد مذكراتها بتفاصيلها منذ طفولتها، فقد كانت طفلة جميلة مدللة وسليلة أسرة ذات حسب ونسب ثم كبرت لتصبح مراهقة متألقة ومتواضعة، وكانت تتمتع بشخصية بريئة وفطرة سليمة وكانت على قدر كبير من الذكاء والطموح، وكان من العادة أن تتهيأ لتحظى بمستقبل باهر كزوجة مثالية ولكن فرح كانت تحمل طموحاً آخر لدراسة الهندسة المعمارية فى فرنسا الأمر الذى لم يكن معتاداً في ذلك الزمان.
