أحداث الرواية تدرجت شيئا فشيئا في التعقيد والمأساة وأنا أؤكد في نفسي أن صحيح هناك من يعيش هكذا ظروف وربما أسوأ نظرا لمعرفتي ببعض الحالات لاجتماعية، من مجتمعي المحلي أو من أصدقائي والنقطة التي أعطتها اهتماما كبيرا من بداية الرواية إلى نهايتها فكرة التعصب الديني الرهيب وتناقضاته التي لا تنتهي والجميل في الأمر كله رغم كون بطلة الرواية عانت من ويلات التدين المنغلق لكنها لم تفقد إيمانها بالله بل كانت واثقة دوما أن الله لا يريد مسلمين من ذلك النوع من خلال آيات ومعاني تستحضرتها كلما همت بقراءة القرآن. إذا لم تتمسك بالله في الأوقات الحالكة فلن تجد غير الانتحار كمخرج. بينما العفن الزوجي أخذ النصف الثاني.
