يتعرض هذا الكتاب لصورة من صور الاستعمار البريطاني الذي ابتليت به أجزاء شتى من وطننا العربي، فيتناول مخطط بريطانيا لاحتلال عدن وكيف تصاعد تنفيذ هذا المخطط خلف سواتر من الخداع والمراوغة والدس ثم العدوان والاحتلال. ولربما يتبادر إلى ذهن القارئ أن هذا الكتاب سيهتم بالممارسات اليومية البغيضة التي كانت سمة للمسلك الاستعماري البريطاني في مراحله المختلفة وهو ما قد أصبحت تمتلئ به الصحف والمجلات وخطب الساسة والكتيبات التاريخية. لكن هذا الكتاب يهتم أساسا بفضح المؤامرات البريطانية ويروي بالوثائق الافتراءات والأكاذيب البريطانية التي كانت تختلقها التجسد لنفسها مبررة للاحتلال ومن ثم تملى على المهزوم ما شاءت تحت غطاء من الاتفاقيات غير المتكافئة التي كانت تفرضها.
