\"الشيخ البيض\" قصة حقيقية وقعت أحداثها في بداية القرن التاسع عشر ولكتابتها لم أكتف بما بين يدي من وثائق وكتب بل قمت بزيارة لمدينة \"سليم\" في الولايات المتحدة الأميركية وشاهدت المباني القديمة في الجزء المتبقي من المدينة القديمة بلدة \"جوهانس بول\" كما قمت بزيارة متحف \"بيبودي\" وكذلك مركز الوثائق \"ايسكس\" في \"سليم\" أما في الشرق فقد بحثت عن أحفاد \"جوهانس بول\" في ظفار فعثرت على السيد عبد الخالق بن سالمين بن ربيع وهو ابن السيدة المعروفة في ظفار \"حرير\" بنت عبد الله بن محمد \"جوهانس بول\" وأمها \"بريكون\" التي تزوجها والدها في أواخر حياته.
