ينقسم الكتاب إلى خمسة فصول يسبقها تمهيد يتضمن عرضا لمحددات السياسة الأمريكية تجاه القارة الإفريقية بوجه عام في أعقاب الحرب العالمية الثانية، حيث تتناول الفصول موقف الولايات المتحدة من استقلال غينيا، سياسة الولايات المتحدة الاقتصادية تجاه غينيا من خلال أبرز الاتفاقيات التي تمت بين جمهورية غينيا المستقلة والولايات المتحدة. وكذلك أفرد الكتاب موقف الولايات المتحدة من سياسة غينيا تجاه قضايا الجوار الإفريقي، وموقفها من علاقات غينيا السياسية والاقتصادية بالمعسكر الشرقي، وعلاقات غينيا العسكرية والثقافية بالمعسكر الشرقي وينهى المؤلف كتابه بخاتمة تتضمن النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة.
