ما هي أوضاع الاقتصاد الإسرائيلي في بداية القرن الحادي والعشرين ؟ وماذا تعني هذه الأوضاع بالنسبة إلى المشروع الصهيوني في إطار ظاهرة العولمة، وفي سياق العملية السلمية للشرق الأوسط ؟ يناقش الكتاب هذه الأسئلة عبر تحليل للتطورات البطيئة التي تمت في الستينات والسبعينات والثمانينات وتسارعت في التسعينات وقادت إلى تحول الاقتصاد الإسرائيلي بالتدريج من نظام ديمقراطية الاشتراكية إلى نظام الرأسمالية كما يتم تحليل مضمون هذا التحول في بنية الاقتصاد وخصوصا في سياق الانتقال من الصناعات التقليدية إلى صناعات التقنية العالية وصناعة الأسلحة المتطورة وفي تطور علاقات الاقتصاد الإسرائيلي بالأسواق العالمي.
