هذا الكتاب \"مدخل إلى العقل العربي\" المقصود به العقل الذي أصبح أصوليا بسبب أن المتحكم فيه هو الفقيه ابن تيمية الذي يرفض إعمال العقل في النص الديني لأن النص ليس في حاجة إلى العقل لأنه واضح لا خفاء فيه وكان من الممكن ألا يكون أمر العقل على هذا الحال لو انه استعان بنقيض ابن تيمية وهو ابن رشد الذي يحرص على أعمال العقل في النص الديني من أجل الكشف عن المعنى الباطن عندما يبدو أن ثمة تناقضا بين المعنى الظاهر ومقتضيات العقل.
