Overview
يعتبر علم الأصوات عند العرب القدماء، من أهم الجوانب التي تناولوا فيها دراسة اللغة؛ لأن عماد هذا الدرس بني على القراءات القرآنية (علم التجويد)، لذلك حظي باهتمام خاص، نظرا للعلاقة المتينة بالخطاب القرآني. يتحدث البحث عما بذله العلماء العرب قديما في مجال علم الأصوات خدمة لكتاب الله المعجز ببلاغته، وهو المصدر الأول لعلوم العربية ولغته التي جاء بها. فقد دفعت قراءة القرآن علماء العربية القدماء لتأمل أصوات اللغة وملاحظتها بدقة، أعطت في وقت مبكر دراسة جيدة للأصوات العربية، غير بعيدة عما توصل إليه علماء الأصوات في الضفة الأخرى.
