يأتي هذا البحث ليدرس قصيدة لشاعر من مشهوري شعراء العصر العباسي، وهو دعبل بن علي الخزاعي، صاحب التائية المشهورة في آل البيت، التي مطلعها \"مدارس آيات خلت من تلاوة\"؛ وليبين صدق تشيع الشاعر، الذي شكك في صدق تشيعه القدماء والمعاصرون، وذلك من خلال استجلاء ما لاح من مظاهر التشيع في هذه القصيدة، مثبتين له قدماً راسخة في المذهب الشيعي في عصره، قدمته على كثير من شعراء الشيعة في زمانه، بإخلاصه لمذهبه، وبذل نفسه للإمام الثامن من أئمة الاثني عشرية علي بن موسى الرضا الذي أنشدت هذه القصيدة بين يديه. وبالمنهج الوصفي التحليلي خضنا غمار هذا البحث نستنطق تائية دعبل، وقصيدته الكبرى؛ لنخلص إلى ما هو أبعد من صدق تشيعه، ألا وهو عمله في الدعوة للمذهب الاثني عشري، هذا ما أكدته بصدق خاتمة هذه القصيدة وأخباره المتداولة في كتب الأدب بعد إنعام النظر فيها، وتفسيرها بشكل منطقي وعقلاني مقبول.
