Overview
يتناول البحث المعرفة الضمنية، حيث يتضح أن المعرفة الضمنية لم تبدأ مع بداية فلسفة بولاني، ولكن لها جذور قديمة في الفلسفة الكلاسيكية عند كلا من أفلاطون وأرسطو، كما توجد أيضا في الفلسفة التجريبية عند هيوم، والفلسفة الحديثة عند كل من كانط وتوماس كون، الأمر الذي يفسر ضرورة البحث عن العلاقة بين المعرفة الضمنية والمعرفة الواضحة explicit knowledge ومدى أهميتهم للعلم بصفة خاصة والمعرفة بصفة عامة.
