Overview
In general, with regard to the thematic content of the novel, the novelist offers to her readers a planet tour in an environmental, educational and scientific mission in order to transmit the cultures of certain countries and their ways of life, on the one hand, and discover the secrets of certain religions by comparing them on the other hand. The novel can be classified as \"travel literature\" which allows the reader to think a lot about everything new. The novel, object of our study, contains about seven hundred pages. It is divided into thirty chapters. The author's objective lies mainly in his ability to correctly describe the main characteristics of each of the religions, highlighting the different stages in which the individual develops. In this work, the author asks many very important questions, in a dramatic texture, through the insight of \"Theo\", 14 years old, who wants to know a lot about the universe in a very short time after knowing that he will die soon. This is the plot of the novel. Our problem concerns the panoramic vision of two religions of the world: Islam and Sikhism. The research focuses on bringing to light their spiritual secrets by analyzing certain parts of the novel. In this regard, we emphasize the spiritual aspects of these two religions. For Islam, we have chosen the spiritual aspect of Sufism to highlight the concept and the hidden aspects of this movement. In the same way, we have also chosen Sikhism and its principles in order to underline its spiritual aspects. Therefore, the research sheds light on the stages in which the mystic develops to purify his soul. We also emphasize the dervish, his way of life and his cosmic dance until he reaches the moment of revelation: \"the revelation\" in which he comes to see the divine light in him as the text we show it. The search depends on the idea of the spiritual master, the stages in which he develops, as well as the value of this master for the followers of the Sikh religion.
