Overview

Weeping is considered as a prominent aspect in Arabic poetry .The aspects of weeping are overt in the expressive values and imaginable structurtes in addition to the communicative signals that they announce as well as the stating information in which the senses interfere so that they become semiotic symbols and icons in the text srtucture that affect the action and become affected by .The semiotic aspects of weeping lie in the expressive values via expressing the emotional states expressing the psychological Cases of human beings. However, weeping is an attempt to decrease the extreme of the emotion. The relation between poetry and weeping is a must because expressing emotional cases is not restricted to language only but it could be expressed by non-linguistic signs since weeping is one of the indicatable symbols which can reveal accurately class ify many of these emotional cases. The research based on the ideas of msny scholars interested in semiotics such as Desusser-Pers-Gagab son part hand others who clarified the role of Symbolsin the process of informing and communicating as well as these who dealt with the Ummayad poetry as an area of application .This is because of the familiarity of the phenomenon of weeping in the poetry of this era which is suitable To be studied in its general levels and subjects.
