Overview
يتناول هذا البحث ظاهرة التحولات في أبنية الفعل الماضي، من حيث الوصف، وثم التحليل والشرح، وذلك في ضوء وردوها في المصنفات المختصة، للكشف - ما أمكن - عن أنواع التحولات في الأبنية الصرفية، وكيفية وقوعها، ثم القواعد المفسرة لها. وخلص البحث إلى تبيين نوعين من صور التحولات، فأما أحدهما، فتحول صرفي، وتفترق فيه الأبنية صرفياً، ومن ثم دلاليا. وأما الآخر فتحول صوتي، لا تتبدل فيه الأبنية صرفياً، وإنما يجري تحول صوتي داخل البناء نفسه، جراء قواعد صوتية صرفية معينة، وأهمها: الإبدال، والمماثلة، والحذف، والزيادة. وانتهي البحث إلى أن معظم التحولات في النوعين لا تنتهي إلى فروق دلالية معجمية، وإنما تدل على سعة الاستعمال، لأجل التخفيف والاستحسان.
