يهدف هذا البحث إلى التعرف إلى الدور الإيجابي للمهر في بناء الأسرة المسلمة، من خلال النظر في بعض المظاهر والجوانب السلبية التي تسهم في جعله وسيلة إضرار لمسار الأسرة. فتناول أهم ظاهرة في هذا المجال، ألا وهي غلاء المهور، وبين مدى الأثر الذي ينتج عنها. وساهم هذا البحث في وضع الخطوط العريضة وبعض التصورات لعلاج هذه المشكلة والحد منها.
