Overview
بلغ الكثير من الحقول النفطية في العالم إلى مرحلة النضج ولم يعد بالإمكان إنتاج النفط بالحقن الاعتيادي ولذلك لجأ العديد من الدول النفطية إلى استخدام تقنيات الاستخلاص النفطي المدعم. لغرض زيادة الإنتاج. ومن ثم الحصول على عوائد نقدية أكثر. ففي العام 2006 جرى إنتاج نحو 35 مليون ب/ي باستخدام عدة تقنيات تمثل بعضها في حقن غاز Co2. والحقن بالبوليمر وغاز النيتروجين. واستخدام الآبار الذكية. ويتطرق البحث إلى تجارب أربع دول خليجية هي السعودية، الإمارات، الكويت، عمان.
