تناولت هذه الدراسة منهج ابن ماجة في سننه فيما يتعلق بالتصحيح على الباب، حيث تمت دراسة هذه المسألة من خلال التطبيق على كتاب الحدود في سنن ابن ماجة، من خلال تصنيف الأبواب على حسب عدد الأحاديث الواردة فيها، ومن ثم تخريج تلك الأحاديث من الكتب الستة، وبيان درجة حديث ابن ماجة، لنتبين هل أخرج ابن ماجة باباً ضعيفاً أو لا. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن ابن ماجة كان يراعي التصحيح على الباب في اغلب أبوابه التي أخرجها في كتاب الحدود، كما كشفت عن منهجه المقصود في ترتيب أحاديث كتابه.
