Overview
يهتم هذا البحث بدراسة دير \"أنبا مقار\" بوادي النطرون دراسة آثارية وتاريخية وكذلك من الناحية المعمارية. ويشتمل هذا البحث عرض نبذة عن وادي النطرون وأهميته في العصور المختلفة والموقع الجغرافي للدير. كما يتناول عرضاً مفصلاً للكنائس السبع بالدير وهي كنيسة الأنبا مقار، كنيسة أبسخيرون، كنيسة، كنيسة الــ 49 شهيداً، كنيسة السواح الأنبا أنطونيوس، وكنيسة الملاك ميخائيل. وسوف يتم عرض وصفاً لكل كنيسة من الكنائس السبع وذلك من حيث الفن المعماري. وتم تبني المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والمنهج الاستقرائي، كما درست نشأة دير الأنبا مقار والكنائس الموجودة به تاريخياً ومعمارياً، وكذلك وصف أهم الأعمال الفنية الموجودة بالدير.
