تعد دراسة تطور أسواق المال وتأثيرها في النمو الاقتصادي من المواضيع الاقتصادية المهمة التي تناولتها هذه الدراسة في العراق. وقد تناولت هذه الدراسة الموضوع بالتحليل من خلال استعراض مفاهيم السوق المالي ووظائفها، فضلا عن مؤشرات تطور السوق المالي في العراق، وأثر هذا التطور في النمو الاقتصادي. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى إن هناك تطورا قليلا ملحوظا في مؤشرات السوق المالية العراقية، غير إن هذا التطور لم يكن له تأثير واضح على النمو الاقتصادي في العراق.
