يظهر جليا من خلال هذه الدراسة أن القانون الدولي البيئي جاء للمحافظة على البيئة وحمايتها من التلوث، وهذا بالاعتماد على الاتفاقيات المبرمة في هذا الشأن، وتعتبر الانتهاكات الدولية عملا غير مشروع وجريمة دولية نتيجة للأضرار اللاحقة بالمجتمع الدولي وخاصة في جرائم البيئة وهو ما ينتج عنه تحمل المسؤولية الدولية سواءً كان الشخص طبيعيا أو معنويا.
