حسن الختام من فنون البديع وهو أحد المواطن التي حث البلاغيون على التأنق فيها لكونها آخر ما يطرق أذن السامع، غير أن تفصيل القول فيما ينبغي أن تكون عليه الخاتمة لتكون حسنة وعن علاقتها بما قبلها لم يبسطه البلاغيون، وفي كلامهم شيء من الإجمال، فهو ما يزال بحاجة إلى دراسة تستخرج أبرز معالمه التي يحسن أن يترسمها البليغ في خاتمة كلامه، وأحسن ما يكون ذلك هو بدراسة الخاتمة في أفصح كلام وهو كلام الله تعالى، مع دراسة سورة لكونها تمثل وحدة موضوعية مستقلة لها أول وآخر، وهذا ما سرت عليه في هذا البحث.
