Overview
يعرض هذا البحث مسألة اختلف فيها علماء الشريعة قديما، ولم تكن محل اهتمام أهل العلم حديثا، وهي: هل يفنى آخر جزء من عظم عصعص الإنسان؟. وقد ورد في الحديث الشريف تصريح ببلاء هذا الجزء؛ فكان هذا التصريح سببا في تباين إجابات أهل العلم على مر الزمان. ولم يجد الباحث- على حد اطلاعه- من أفرد هذه المسألة بأي بحث علمي، وقد تكمن صعوبة الإجابة على هذا السؤال في عدم القدرة على إجراء بحث تجريبي على هذا الجزء، بالإضافة إلى عدم توفر قياس لحجم العصعص فضلا عن آخر جزء منه؛ فبرز دور الباحث في محاولة تنزيل أقوال علماء الشريعة على واقع العلم الحديث، والجمع بين مختلف الآراء، ومحاولة تحديد ماهية عجب الذنب من حيث مكانه وحجمه. وقد خلص الباحث إلى أن عجب الذنب لا يبلى تحت الظروف الطبيعية، بينما قد يبلى تحت الظروف المخبرية التجريبية.
