هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بالقراءات القرآنية، والإمام الكسائي، ثم إظهار أثر قراءة الإمام الكسائي في أحكام الأسرة، وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الاستقرائي؛ وذلك باستقراء الآيات المتعلقة بأحكام الأسرة ثم بيان قراءة الإمام الكسائي لها، ثم المنهج المقارن بمقارنة قراءة الكسائي بغيره من القراء ثم المنهج التحليلي بتحليل أسباب اختلاف القراءات وأثر ذلك في الأحكام الفقهية المتعلقة بالأسرة. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى وجود نماذج فقهية تطبيقية كان لقراءة الكسائي أثر فيها في اختلاف الفقهاء؛ منها: تحديد من بيده الخلع: الزوج أم القاضي؟ وحكم القرار في البيت للمرأة.
