تهدف دراستنا هذه إلى محاولة تسليط الضوء على مسألة مهمة في الفكر الغربي المعاصر وهي مسألة عودة الدين وانبعاثه من جديد من خلال مقاربة الفيلسوف الألماني يورغن هابرماس والذي حاول من خلال دراسته وضع مقاربة جديدة متجاوزا رؤيته السابقة للمسألة الدينية وفق مقترحه مجتمع ما بعد العلمانية حيث أراد من خلاله تحديد الإجراءات الواجب اتباعها من طرف العلمانيين والمتدينين للدخول في نقاش وحوار متبادل يقوم على التسامح ونبذ العنف والتطرف والإقصاء.
