حظي موضوع المركزيات الثقافية الغربية باهتمام العديد من الباحثين المقارنين وقد أعيد طرحه في السنوات الأخيرة بشكل جاد نظرا لطغيان ثقافات المركز بصورة ملحوظة على بعض ثقافات الهامش من دول العالم الثالث ولا سيما البلدان العربية. وتهدف هذه الورقة البحثية إلى فضح واقع المركزيات الثقافية الغربية وعنصريتها ثم الكشف عن الجهود التي تبذلها الدراسات المقارنة والبعض من الباحثين من ثقافات الهامش لإعادة الاعتبار لها وإثبات أنها قادرة هي الأخرى على الإسهام في صناعة الفكر العالمي.
