ينطلق هذا البحث من سؤال جوهري هو: كيف استعمل أسلوب الاستهزاء في القرآن الكريم من أجل تضليل الناس وإبعادهم عن رسالة النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم)؟ وهل يكون في خطابـات التضليل بالاستهزاء تفاوت من حيث قوة التركيب وضعفه؟ أو مدى نجاعته؛ بوصفه سلاحا ذا حدين من الممكن أن يرفع عن المستهزأ به الجدية ويتعامل معه كأنه شيء يتلهى به. وجاء البحث في تحليل التراكيب المستعملة في سياق الاستهزاء الذي كان قد جابهه الرسول محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) من المشركين واليهود والمنافقين، ودرسنا فيه الاستهزاء الصريح وليس الضمني والـدال عليه بألفاظها، وحاولنا التفريق بين تلك الألفاظ والمفاهيم والتراكيب.
