يتحدث هذا البحث عما ورد من معلومات عن تعليم البنات في مكة المكرمة من خلال كتاب محمد عمر رفيع \"مكة في القرن الرابع عشر الهجري\". وقد أورد الرفيع معلومات مختصره جدا، تناول من خلالها تعليم البنات خلال القرن الرابع عشر، وقد بدأ حديثه عن تعليم البنات في مكة المكرمة من خلال ذكره لأهم عالمات مكة المكرمة الفاضلات. ومن ثم عرج على فترة تعليم الكتاتيب، وأخيرا، ذكر المدارس الأهلية التي نشأت في مكة المكرمة، وأكمل حديثه عن المدارس الحكومية، وكم أصبح عددها في نهاية القرن الرابع عشر الهجري.
