Overview
تقع مدينة قورية ضمن دولة البرتغال الحالية على نهر تاجة؛ فتحها المسلمون سنة 95ه/713م على يد الوالي عبد العزيز بن موسى بن نصير، وأغلب سكانها من المسلمين من بربر مصمودة ومكناسة، وقد اكتسب أهميتها خلال حكم المسلمين لها كونها منطقة ثغرية حصينة مما جعلها مركز رباط طيلة تلك المدة. وبسبب حصانة موقعها كانت ملجأ للعديد من الثائرين من أمثال شقيا المكناسي الذي ادعى النسب الفاطمي، وأبو الأسود محمد بن يوسف الفهري، وسليمان بن مارتين، وعبد الرحمن الجليقي، كما خضعت إلى بني الأفطس في عصر الطوائف، وكان سقوطها في آخر العهد المرابطي على يد الملك القشتالي الفونسو السابع سنة ٥٣٦ ه/1141م بعد أن حكمها المسلمون حوالي أربعة قرون ونصف.
