Nostalgia and Alienation in Assia Djebar's Works and her Soft / Crying Anti-Colonial Militantism

Overview
This paper aims at shedding light on Assia Djebar's nostalgic/ nationalist thoughts as portrayed in her novel L'amour, La fantasia. The research focuses on finding answers to some dichotomies as Colonizer/Colonized), (Man/Woman), (Nostalgia/Homeland), (Alienation/ Domiciliation or Settlement). We used, accordingly, research synthesis and content analysis as methods and approaches to find by the end appropriate panaceas to Djebar's big questions. Research findings show that Djebar's militantism was soft with literature; crying with mind and questions, and effective with creativity and concerns.
