يعد الفن الإخميني القديم من أهم الموروثات البشرية في منطقة غرب أسيا واعتمد الفنان على العديد من الإيماءات والتعبيرات الجسدية في المناظر بهدف تضمين أفكاره وما يرغب في تأكيده للمتلقي سواء بصورة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة. وكان للإمارات المختلفة لليد دورا مهما في استخلاص مضمون المشاهد والمناظر وتبين قدرة الفنان على تطويع أدواته لخدمة قضيته الفنية. ويتناول هذا البحث الدلالات التعبيرية أو الإيماءات المختلفة لليد كما يهدف إلى توضيح رمزيتها الدينية والاجتماعية والسياسية.
