Overview

The problematic nature of this issue in the Arab world and a few other countries shows the lack and lack of mechanisms to protect the environment from degradation and pollution. In the constant pursuit of the requirements of sustainable development, accompanied by an industrial revolution, economic and economic and military race in which legal persons in all countries play a major and effective role Where they commit many acts that cause great damage to the environment, which adversely affect environmental sustainability. Those relating to the natural environment and how to continue and remain diverse and fruitful for sustainable development. Which is right for future generations, just like current generations. On the other hand, environmental crimes are cross-border crimes where the effects of criminal behavior extend beyond the borders of the state in some crimes. As is the case in air pollution by atomic dust or water pollution that penetrates the borders of more than one state. Where it notes legislative shortcomings at the international level in criminalizing environmentally harmful acts committed by moral persons, particularly the public, to the detriment of the environment. At the same time, many Arab legislations have passed away from punitive provisions that achieve public and private deterrence for moral persons compared to European and other legislation. The question that arises is the adequacy and effectiveness of criminal legislation within the Arab world, especially in Saudi Arabia and many other countries belonging to the Anglo-Saxon system in the protection of the environment as the backbone of sustainable development goal of Vision 2030, hence the importance of studying this subject.
