Overview
Für die digitale Neuausgabe der ‘Krônike von Prûzinlant’ erfolgten detaillierte Handschriftenuntersuchungen, deren Ergebnisse vorgestellt werden. Die Tradierung des Textes bis ins 19. Jahrhundert wird charakterisiert und die Kodikologie sowie die Paläographie der mittelalterlichen Handschriften untersucht. Dies wird mit der von Nikolaus von Jeroschin formulierten Übersetzungstheorie in Zusammenhang gebracht, um das Verständnis des Textes in Zusammenhang mit seiner lateinischen Vorlage zu vertiefen.
Detailed manuscript analyses were carried out for the new digital edition of the ‘Krônike von Prûzinlant’ and the results of which are presented. The transmission of the text up to the 19th century is characterised and the codicology and palaeography of the medieval manuscripts are examined. This is linked to the translation theory formulated by Nicolas of Jeroschin in order to deepen the understanding of the text in relation to its Latein original.
