Overview
ليست هذه الدراسة وصفا لموضوع يتعلق بتاريخ حضري، لكنها تحليل لحركة سياسية تبنتها الطبقات المستضعفة خلال المرحلة الكولونيالية. و يتعلق الأمر بظهور نخبة برجوازية و مثقفة في الأوساط المسلمة التي كانت فقيرة جدا من الناحية الاجتماعية وقد أعطى تسيس الطبقات الشعبية المتأخر، نـتـائـج مـهـمـة و منها تثبيت حزب الشعب الجزائري بمدينة سكيكدة. ذلك الحزب الذي سيعرف توسعا سريعا و هيمنة كبيرة في المدينة، قبل أن ينفجر في بداية الخمسينيات. يشير المؤلف إلى تطور هذه الحركة السياسية كما يعين مختلف الفاعلين فيها و كذا مختلف المراحل التي عرفتها بمدينة سكيكدة و بمحيطها. و للبرهنة على هذه الوقائع التاريخية، يذكر المؤلف الخلافات الحادة التي وقعت بين الفئات الاجتماعية المسلمة أنذاك.
