Overview
En este artículo se revisa un fenómeno literario de las letras mexicanas contemporáneas que mezcla la realidad histórica con una ficción de visión mítica y mística que ha contribuido a darle forma y origen a un movimiento social denominado la “nueva mexicanidad”. Se analiza a modo de ejemplo la novela titulada La mujer dormida debe dar a luz, firmada con el pseudónimo de Ayocuan, para mostrar cómo la historia es el eje estructural de este peculiar modo de narrar que ha significado un éxito de ventas a lo largo de casi cinco décadas.
