At the least, the author has provided a useful tour of the thought-provoking work of thinkers such as Hermann Heller, Hermann Schmitz, and Ludwig von Mises. Along the way, Hintze makes extensive use of Mises to create a theory of the state, taking aim at anarcho-capitalists.
