Overview
En el siglo XVIII, los jesuitas europeos construyeron, en el complejo de los palacios de estilo europeo en el noreste del jardín Yuanming Yuan, un Laberinto. Su destino fue un escenario al aire libre para disfrute del emperador Qianlong. Este artículo analiza el diseño del Laberinto desde el punto de vista del lenguaje visual. Se utilizaron estructuras y herramientas semióticas para interpretar la expresión de las formas arquitectónicas de esta obra de arte y formular su comprensión posterior convirtiendo cada elemento en herramienta de comunicación. Este original Laberinto fue codificado por la hibridación pictórico-arquitectónica desarrollada por los misioneros jesuitas en China.
