Overview
When a bulletproof helmet is impacted by an impact object, it undergoes significant local deformation on the backside, which can cause severe blunt trauma to the human head. Even if such trauma does not result in death, it may lead to craniocerebral dysfunction or other complications. Therefore, this study establishes a model of a head protected by a bulletproof helmet under object impact. By adjusting the impact velocity, the same pressure response is induced in different cranial regions for analysis. The results show that if the cranial displacement caused by helmet backface deformation is sufficiently large, the oscillation of the helmet after reaching maximum deformation will maintain contact with the head and continue to exert influence, preventing cranial pressure and displacement from returning to zero.
